Updated with a lighter weight, this racquet is perfect for experienced players who want power, comfort, and precision

Updated with a sleek silver cosmetic for 2026, the Ki Q+5 Pro continues to be one of the most arm-friendly members of its class. Like the previous generation, it pairs a classic 22 mm beam with the controllable power of a 16x20 string pattern. It also boasts 330+ swingweight, giving it the kind of stability and plow-through that advanced players crave. What sets it apart is ProKennex's time-tested Kinetic Quadfocus Technology, which places movable mass in multiple locations around the head to provide greater protection against vibration, shock and torque. The movable mass also multiplies the power of your stroke, making it easier for you to overpower your opponent. In conjunction with the arm-saving Kinetic technology in the head, this racquet's butt cap features a Comfort Cap, which extends Kinetic technology to the handle for even greater protection against harsh vibrations. The Ki Q+ 5 Pro also features a firm SpiralTech Carbon layup, which removes impurities and air pockets from the graphite layers in order to provide extra strength and dampening. Ultimately, for the experienced player who wants dangerous levels of power and precision in an extremely arm-friendly package, this one is hard to beat.

A Pleasant SurpriseI recently demoed this racquet, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. While I am aware there is a niche of players, usually older, that swear by the ProKennex technology, I was, quite frankly, skeptical. After hitting with his racquet for several hours, I am a skeptic no more. The moveable mass that ProKennex is known for is not a gimmick, it actually works and I am somewhat surprised other manufactures have not adopted it. It does eliminate, or substantially reduce, almost all harmful vibration. While the RA may be a little on the stiff side, you would never know it given how solid and comfortable the ball feels coming off the strings. I found that the moveable mass actually increased racquet speed which makes sense since it creates momentum when you swing at the ball. For similar reasons, the racquet was very maneuverable, especially at net and for doubles. I would rate the spin potential as average to above average. Since it has a 16 x 20 string pattern, the launch angle was lower so control was consistent and overall excellent. This was true regardless of whether you take a fast, full swing or just medium strokes. Power was above average and controlled. While I did not overpower any opponents, I was able to play an aggressive style of game with success. The racquet also has excellent stability, even against big hitters. The arm, wrist and shoulder comfort is unmatched. If I had any of these issues and still wanted to play competitive tennis, there is no question I would immediately purchase this racquet. If they made this racquet in an extended version, I would likely make the switch. In sum, this is an unexpectant gem and worth a look for players at any level.

Underrated Gem!I have been using ProKennex for over 20 years. Several Ki-5 models and then the last gen Q+5 Pro 315. I'm a 4.5 college tennis coach and former D1 player. On my scale this was 1g less so it might be just this frame. This 310g feels ever so slightly more flexible than the last gen. The beads in the frame are maybe 10% louder but still unheard during play and is very stable for a 100. I like stiff frames but normally they bother my wrist. This racquet does not. I can feel even more pocketing than before. I wanted to drop weight on my frame while still keeping up stability. I added a little weight to the bottom and top of the handle and on the head from about 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 for extra stability and plow. It's not necessary but it's what I'm used to in order to create near even balance. For those who want a stiffer arm friendly control stick, this is it!
